From the Principal.... Matt Clark
What a fantastic start to the school year! The excitement in the air was contagious as students walked through our doors, ready to embark on a new journey. For many students this week it was the first day in a new school. As a school community, the TMS staff worked hard to make sure each student had a welcoming and positive experience. I know I hope for the same with my daughters who both started at a new school this week (6th grade and 9th grade).
I recognize as a principal and parent that trust in a school takes time and is built on a series of positive experiences. Please know that my goal is to build that trust so you and your children enjoy your experience at Thompson Middle School.
As we move forward through this school year, I want you to know that our commitment to your child’s growth and well-being is unwavering. We’re here to support them every step of the way, and I hope that as the year progresses, you’ll feel confident that we at Thompson are doing everything we can to create a nurturing and enriching environment for your child.
Here’s to a successful year ahead!
Roll Thunder!

Transportation Reminders
We need to remember to work as a team to make arrival / dismissal as smooth as possible.
- If you are in the car drop off lane, please remember to pull all the way forward to relieve congestion on 7th St. and Rt 64
- If your student is a bus rider, please double check HAC to make sure they are signed up for an AM and a PM bus. We have had some confusion on this.
Each day gets a little better. We are working closely with the Transportation Department and District Office to try to get kids to/from school as quickly as possible. Thank you for your support!
