November Warrior News
Dear Parents,
Thank you for all that you did to help make the first nine weeks of school a huge success. We appreciate your continuous support! Please continue to regularly monitor your child's progress in the Home Access Center.
We encourage our students to read and work on math facts daily. Reading together is an awesome bonding opportunity too. Get lost in a book, laugh and learn by reading with your child each day. You can access a variety of books through Clever.
Missing a lunchbox, jacket, water bottle? We have acquired quite a few items in our lost and found. Please encourage your child to check the lost and found located outside the café in the main hall for any items that might belong to them.
By now, you should have met or have scheduled a parent/teacher conference to review your child's progress. If the report card reflects anything concerning to you, please reach out to the teacher to discuss or schedule a conference. We appreciate your partnership in your child's learning.
See below for what each grade level will be studying during the month of November. It is such a busy and exciting time of year!
As always, thank you for partnering with us!

As the second nine weeks is getting off to an exhilarating start, we are setting the stage for fantastic learning in our music classes. The entire Maude Moore Wood student body is busily learning all the exciting aspects and creative possibilities that music study offers. This part of our school year includes singing and studying songs from around the world, experience playing on a wide variety of musical instruments and opportunities for students to compose their own music and create unique dances. Our fabulous 3rd and 4th graders presented an exciting performance for friends and family last Thursday. The audience was thrilled by the student’s “Salute to America.” Our Warrior Voices choir is busy working on a holiday program to be presented in December. More information is coming soon about this wonderful program.

We here at Maude Moore Wood Elementary are walking with you at home on this journey with your students to create an atmosphere of gratitude, appreciation, and paying it forward. Use our CKH Launch to enhance your communication with your student for the month, “Today I was Good At….” to summarize the main points and takeaways from each day. Remember to ask the conversation starters at the end of our CKH newsletter. Our guidance highlights for the month include gratitude, self-compassion, and mindfulness."
