A Note From Mr. Campbell
Dear Paul Banks Families,
This time of year there is always so much energy in our school, and there is so much to celebrate. The beginning of November began with a partnership with Sprout where we hosted a playgroup and concluded with a fantastic two days of violin recitals. The playgroup featured families bringing their little ones to the Paul Banks playground for a recess experience followed by snacks and a story. We look forward to this continued First Friday partnership. We also concluded our October Reading Challenge; 89 of our students achieved the challenge of reading 15 minutes 25 of the 31 days of October! Our kindergarteners and first graders taught their parents all that they are learning in violin. It was such an awesome experience to see so many families in our building. We held two different spotlight assemblies during November where we celebrated many students' growth and progress. Classrooms hosted Thanksgiving events and learning opportunities. Overall, the month of November was a wonderful example of our dynamic community.
Although we only have two weeks of school during the month of December, we have much to look forward to. We can't wait to see you next week at our winter musical where our students' will put on a performance highlighting all of their hard work from this year. We will also hold our winter benchmark assessments where our students will get to demonstrate all of their growth as readers and mathematicians.
This first semester of the school year has been terrific, and we all thank you for your support. The partnerships we form between school, families and the community are so essential to your children growing and learning. We are so appreciative.
On behalf of the Paul Banks staff, we wish you all a wonderful winter break filled with play and reading.
All the best,
Sean Campbell
