Woodglen's First Lego League Team
After months of preparation (and fun!) Woodglen Elementary's First Lego League team, the Woodglen Wolverines, competed in a regional First Lego League tournament in Mamaroneck on Saturday 1/25/25. They have been building and coding a functional robot using Legos and inventing a device (and creating a report on it) to help marine researchers do their jobs.
They had a blast showing off their robot and their invention along with 23 other teams (all of which were middle school aged!) and they even walked away with the Innovation Award for "team whose robot showed the most ingenuity in accomplishing their missions"!!

Martin Luther King
Woodglen honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a courageous civil rights leader who dedicated his life to promoting equality, justice, and peaceful social change. Dr. King's powerful message of nonviolence and his vision of a society where people are judged by their character, not the color of their skin, continues to inspire generations. We encourage our students to reflect on his legacy and consider how they can contribute to building a more just and inclusive community.
Martin Luther King Jr by William
Can you imagine black and white people being apart? Dr. King worked so hard for black and white people to be together. He was arrested for standing up for himself. Finally black and white people can be together.
Kindness is Contagious

Did you know that it is estimated that only 1 in 1000 sea turtles make it to adulthood?
But, with our help, it is possible for many more of them to survive.
We designed and built turtle protections to help protect their nests and their journey from the nest to the sea!!!

All About Cleaning By Manpreet
Cleaning is important because if you do not clean your house will be dirty. Germs can spread and make you sick! In addition, your mom or dad can be mad. Then the whole family will be upset. Your house will look like a dump. When you invite your friends over, they will not be able to play. When the house is messy and dirty it makes you feel chaotic. Therefore, clean up after you make a mess.
100th Day of School
