Please read carefully to ensure you aren't missing deadlines/events.

Grade Level Updates and Reminders
If you need to contact your counselor, you can visit the office during school hours, email (can be found on the website here), or call 901-854-2340. We are here to help you with academic concerns, social concerns, and emotional concerns- even when we are virtual!
Grades 9-11: Start thinking about courses for next year! Sign ups will begin in January.
- Check PowerSchool & Schoology daily to ensure you are not missing assignments. If you feel behind in a class, email your teacher to ask how you can improve your grade. You can also reach out to your counselor so we can help you!
10th grade- Counselors: Ms. Smith (A-Johnson) and Mr. Moskal (Jones-Z)
- Interested in a summer leadership opportunity? Contact Mr. Moskal for information related to the HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar on June 5th and 6th, 2021.
11th grade- Counselors: Ms. Krotzer (A-K) and Ms. Johnson (L-Z)

- Next semester is your last semester to improve your GPA before college applications. Do your best this semester and remember don't wait until the last minute to turn in work! The counselors are here to help if needed- reach out to us for help!
12th grade- Counselors: Ms. Czosek (A-L) and Ms. Loeffler (M-Z)
- Don’t let Senioritis get the best of you and let your second quarter grades slide! Your semester grades will impact your GPA and graduation eligibility.
- Are your college applications complete and submitted? Check your college application portals to ensure that your applications were submitted and that all required documents have been requested and/or received. Don't wait until the deadline!!!!
- We do not use SendEdu. Request all transcripts via Naviance. If you need your Naviance account reset, email your counselor. Also please remember, CHS does not report your ACT score to colleges, this must be done from your ACT portal online or selected on your ACT answer booklet at testing.
- The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) is hosting a FREE statewide virtual FAFSA help session on December 16, 2020 from 4pm-7pm CST. To register, click on the following link here. You may also contact the outreach team anytime by emailing fafsa.help@tn.gov or calling 615-350-8668. You cannot receive any college scholarship/ financial aid without completing the FAFSA!!!!
- Begin to apply to scholarships from colleges you've been accepted to. Each school has their own scholarship applications & deadlines that can be found on their website.
- Community scholarships will be made available in January. They will be posted on the CHS website.
- Graduation fees are 100 dollars and are due by March 26th. You can pay online or bring a check to the Mrs. Czosek in the Counseling Office.
