Welcome to the 24/25 School Year!

Our school’s theme this year is "BE KIND"! I am excited to share this upcoming year with you. I hope you have been having a summer full of fun, rest, and an abundance of sun!

I am looking forward to seeing you at the start of the 2024-2025 school year and hearing about all your summer adventures!

My name is Mrs. Jennie Cumbane (pronounced Koom-bonnie). I have been teaching seventh and eighth graders at Cayuse Prairie since the 2007/2008 school year. I look forward to another fantastic year teaching and supporting seventh and eighth graders.

What I like to do for fun: spend time with my husband and daughters, friends, and family; bike; read or listen to audio books; watch movies and documentaries; try new foods; and travel.

In addition to being the eighth grade homeroom teacher, I will be teaching the following.

1. ELA to eighth graders

2. Literature to seventh and eighth graders
   

3. Montana History to eighth graders

4. Arts and Crafts to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders
   

5. Study Skills to eighth graders

**MRS. HADLEY and MS. FORSTER are the seventh grade homeroom teachers; MRS. HADLEY will be teaching Math and Science to the eighth graders. MRS. FOX will teach eighth grade Algebra.

• Bring in your school supplies, meet your teacher, pay any fees, and participate in activities.
• Sports physicals for middle schoolers will be at the open house; the fee is $10.
  
• Sign-ups to work at the concession stand during home games will be available.

Students, remember that your teachers are some of your many advocates. If you need support, checks for understanding, or a listening ear, we are here for you.

Parents, as your child’s biggest advocate, we hope you will continue to encourage your child(ren) to ask questions when they need support, and contact us with any questions you may have.

How to keep in contact with me: I communicate mostly through my newsletters (typically sent out Friday or Sunday each week) and Remind. See below for how to join my Remind class. You may contact me by email, Remind, and by phone (ext. 228). All contact information is listed at the bottom of this newsletter and every newsletter I send out. Additionally, paper flyers and other electronic communication from the school office will be sent home on Wednesdays due to the four day school week schedule.
