A Message from the Principal

Dear Newhall Elementary Families,

Last week the Governor announced that beginning on Monday, March 14, 2022, it is optional for students to wear a mask at school.

Masks are optional, however the State and County strongly recommend that staff, students, and visitors wear a mask indoors.

Personal Choice: Know that the staff at Newhall Elementary will respect the decision your family and/or child make regarding wearing or not wearing masks in the classroom (starting March 14). Please reinforce with your students that wearing the masks indoors will be optional and some will choose to continue wearing masks and some will not. Regardless, everyone needs to be treated with the same respect and kindness - masked or unmasked.

Student Wellness and Responsibility: As always, we ask that if students experience any COVID-19 symptoms, please keep them home. Please report the absence to our school (661) 291-4010.
