MARCH / APRIL / MAY 2025
LETTER FROM DR. WALDRIP
Dear PTA members,
As we approach the end of the school year, things are far from slowing down in Frisco ISD.
We're gearing up for high school graduations, preparing for summer learning programs, and our
teachers and staff are already planning for a strong start in August. Summer may be on the
horizon, but the momentum continues!
While our students take a well-earned break, the behind-the-scenes work truly begins, and no
one knows that better than you. As PTA members, you are the backbone of our school
communities. Whether your efforts are front and center or happening quietly in the background,
they make a meaningful impact, and they do not go unnoticed.
From organizing campus events and hosting teacher appreciation lunches to supporting
classrooms, running book fairs, and helping in libraries, your contributions are woven into the
fabric of our schools. You identify needs, offer creative solutions, and always show up with
purpose and heart. Simply put: your presence matters.
On behalf of the entire district, thank you for the countless ways you've supported our schools
this year. You've helped foster a welcoming, thriving environment for our students and staff
alike. I hope this summer brings you rest and joy—you’ve certainly earned it. We look forward to
working alongside you again soon as we prepare for another great year.
Dr. Mike Waldrip
Superintendent, Frisco ISD

You go above and beyond each day to ensure our children have the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive, and we are truly grateful for your dedication and hard work.
To our Local PTA Members and amazing Volunteers, a heartfelt thank you for all your contributions to our community. You are the heart of our schools, and your presence is felt in every event, every classroom, and every act of support. The countless hours you’ve given—whether planning, organizing, or simply showing up—have made a meaningful difference on your campuses.
To our Community Partners, thank you for being an essential part of our purpose and mission. We couldn’t do what we do without your support, and we are so appreciative of the relationships and generosity you’ve shared with us.

REFLECTIONS RESULTS
Reflections is a National PTA Art Program started in 1969 that is focused on positive recognition to encourage students to explore the arts. Reflections also has an achievement and advancement component. Once entries are received at the local PTA level, they are judged, and some are provided an opportunity to advance to a Council, State, and/or National level of judging.
In December, the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs held our annual Reflections Art Show to showcase the 389 art entries that advanced to the Council level from 60 participating Frisco PTAs. From those entries, 25 advanced from Council to the Texas PTA level, and 21 of those entries received state-level honors and awards - an outstanding achievement that truly highlights the talent, creativity, and support our students receive here in Frisco. See the full list of state-level honors here: Frisco ISD Council of PTAs Final State Reflections Results 24-25
Additionally, 2 of those FISD students, Eliana S. & Tatum L., were awarded the prestigious Overall Award of Excellence, the highest honor at the state level, and advanced to the National Level. Finally, 1 student, Tatum L., was awarded the outstanding national-level honor of the Award of Excellence!
See Full Reflections Results Here: Reflections Results - Texas PTA - every child. one voice.
The Frisco Council of PTAs applauds students across our district for exploring the arts and expressing themselves through the PTA Reflections Art Program! We also appreciate parents for encouraging and supporting their child’s participation in the arts! The creativity of our Frisco students is truly inspiring!
We are already looking forward to seeing what our Frisco students will create for next year's Reflections theme- "I Belong!"
