Falcon Zone Staff Testimonials
I have been a teacher at Falcon Middle School for the past 4 years. As my oldest was preparing to make the transition from FMS to high school, I wasn't sure that Falcon High was going to be the right fit. To be honest, I had heard some negative things about FHS that made me hesitant to send him there. As a military family, my son has had frequent moves and the idea of leaving his middle school friends to go to a different high school than them did not sit well. After many long conversations we decided we would give it a try at least for his freshman year. Now, in the second semester of his freshman year, we could not be happier with that decision. First, Mr. O'Connor has made such an impact on FHS in the short time he has been there. He has brought so much positivity to the school and really celebrates the things that are important to the students. He does an incredible job staying on top of communication and has responded so quickly the few times I have reached out. Second, my son joined the marching band. At first as he heard Mr. Yager talk about hard work and long days, he wasn't quite sure if that was how he wanted to spend his spare time. By the end of his first day of camp over the summer he was really excited and looking forward to the season. By the end of their competition season he was talking about ways he could include marching band into his plans for college. We are so thankful for the staff at FHS and all the work they put into not only in the classrooms, but ensuring that students are having their best high school experience. There is a place for everyone at FHS and I'm so glad my son found his in the band program.

Falcon Zone Family Testimonials
I am a mom of four and have had children in MRES, FMS and FHS. I can honestly say that in the five years I have been here I have seen tremendous growth in the Falcon Zone, particularly Falcon High. At the beginning of my children's time at Falcon High I wasn't in love, but as administrators, teachers, students and parents have come together over the past 2 years I am starting to fall in love with the growth mindset I am seeing at Falcon High! The new principal along with numerous staff and teachers are working hard to make Falcon a place that kids thrive and parents want to send their kids. Parent's input is valued and we are being empowered to help build the school with ideas to make Falcon awesome. Be a part of the change and fall in love with Falcon with me!

FESOT offers a wonderful staff full of educators that truly want the best for our littles and the future of our community! I myself had questioned at one time if 1 on 1 homeschooling was as good as the hype claimed, so I tried K-12 and quickly brought my child back to Falcon where she's now thriving and simply cannot get enough of this place! We absolutely love this school!

Get to Know Your Falcon Zone Community Liaison
My name is Cari Muresan and I am your FZ Community Liaison. This is my 21st year in education, and I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Falcon Zone for the last 8 years as a Science teacher at Falcon Middle School and then the Dean of Students at Falcon Elementary School of Technology. The Falcon Zone is near and dear to my heart and I'm honored to be able to serve in this community!
I love being a community liaison because it allows me to build meaningful connections between families, schools, and the Falcon community. Every day, I have the opportunity to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and create positive experiences that strengthen relationships and engagement. Seeing the direct impact of my work—whether it's helping a family access resources, organizing events that bring people together, or amplifying voices that need to be heard—fills me with a deep sense of purpose. I enjoy being a trusted advocate, ensuring that everyone feels valued, informed, and empowered to be part of the school community. The relationships I build make this role incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
I love to spend time adventuring and traveling with my husband, my 2 kids (Sam, 14 and Cassandra, 17) and our 3 dogs; Bross, Juniper and Breezy. I find Colorado unbelievably beautiful and have lived here for almost 30 years! My favorite activities are hiking, SUP boarding, traveling and camping in our rooftop tent. I have climbed seven of Colorado's 14ers, with plans for a few more this summer and hope to travel to my husband's home in Romania sometime in the next year or so. I grew up an Air Force brat and lived in six different states and one country by the time I was 15, so I know what it feels like to move constantly, make new friends and settle into unknown places.
I look forward to continuing to connect with you, your students and your families and my door is always open!
