We are thrilled to announce that both Medical Lake High School and Michael Anderson Elementary School have been recognized with Washington State Recognized School Awards!
Medical Lake High School was honored for the growth of one or more student groups during the 2021-2022 school year.
Michael Anderson Elementary School received recognition for the following:
- Growth of one or more student groups in both the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years
- Closing the Achievement Gap in 2021-2022
These outstanding achievements are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of our entire staff. Your commitment to our students' success is truly inspiring.

Early Learning Needs Assessment
The Medical Lake School District is conducting an early learning needs assessment to determine the need for more early learning opportunities to better serve the birth to 5 year old children of our Medical Lake School District communities. We need your help. Please scan the QR code to complete a short survey. If you have friends or neighbors in the Medical Lake community who do not currently have school age children, but could benefit from increased early learning opportunities please share the QR code with them.
MLHS Principal Retirement and New Principal Search
Principal Chris Spring is retiring at the end of this school year after 32 years of dedicated service to the Medical Lake School District and community. As we transition to a new leadership era, we have initiated the process of hiring a qualified and inspiring individual to fill the role of MLHS Principal for the 2025-26 school year.
Your Voice Matters ~ We value your input and encourage you to participate in the selection process.
