Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:

We want to inform you that cumulative grades in Canvas will no longer be visible to parents and students starting on December 2nd. As we transition to the Focus Student Information System, we encourage families to become familiar with viewing all grade information in Focus moving forward.

While Canvas will continue to be an essential tool for secondary students' learning and for teachers’ grading, all grades will be pushed into Focus daily, where they will be calculated and recorded.

Thank you for your support as we work to ensure a smooth transition to this updated system.

Learn more about world affairs and put your global knowledge to the test as you go head to head with teams around Kansas City.

We will meet in January and February to review and synthesize these interesting topics. The competition is in March.

1. Students should log into their online learning platform (Canvas) by 8:00 am.

2. Teachers will use Google Meet with students for 15-20 minutes per class to ensure students understand the independent student activity for the day, followed by 30 minutes of work time.

3. The teacher will be available for assistance via email and individual conferencing through Canvas/Google Meet as needed for all students during the work time period.

4. All special services for students will be provided if the service would normally fall on that day and will be arranged during the independent work time block.
