Lambs Ledger
March Edition
Dear Lambs Families,
I hope this message finds you well as we move into the month of March! I want to share some important updates with you.
First, we have scheduled a makeup day on March 14th to account for the school closure on February 13th due to the sewer malfunction. This will be a half-day, with dismissal at 10:40 AM. Bus transportation and food services (breakfast and lunch) will be available for students on March 14th. The base gate will be open for our walkers! Kalidescope will be offered for those who regularly attend! Please note that this does not alter the preexisting calendar day of March 13th, which remains an early release day with dismissal at 12:25 PM.
Additionally, on March 14th, we are excited to launch a new initiative called Home Teams! This initiative builds on our existing house system by creating smaller, family-like groups within our school community. Each Home Team will consist of 8-10 students from different grade levels (K-5) and one to two adults from the same house. The goal is to foster meaningful relationships between students across grade levels while also providing them with an additional trusted adult in the building. We believe this initiative will help strengthen our sense of community and create even more supportive connections for our students.
As we enter the fourth quarter, we are in the home stretch for your children! They have been working so diligently all year alongside our incredible teachers. As we begin to prepare for iReady testing at the end of March and state testing in early May, attendance and being on time each day is more important than ever! Every instructional minute in the classroom is an opportunity to maximize learning. Thank you for your partnership in ensuring your students are present and on time each day—attendance matters!
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a great month ahead!
