• Drop off begins at 7:45 a.m. Students may not be dropped any earlier and must remain in their car.
• Parents/Guardians are asked NOT to park during drop off or pick up. All parents/guardians are asked to remain in their cars at all times. Two lanes will be set up for drop off and pick up in front of the school. Please watch our video for directions!
• The student entrance is at the double gate leading to the playground.
• For the first week, upon arrival, students will line up by socially distanced cones on the playground field. Teachers will be teaching students the appropriate way to enter and exit our building. After the first week, students will report directly to their homeroom classrooms upon arrival.

At drop off, please remain in your car and wait for a staff member to come to you. Staff will take your child(ren)'s temperature, verbally ask you if the child(ren) has/have exhibited any symptoms, and then ask you for your initials and relationship to the child(ren).

Hand sanitizer will be provided at every entrance to the building and in every classroom. Students will be instructed to sanitize/wash their hands prior to entering the building.

If you are late (arriving after 8:00 am), please call the front office. Please do NOT walk your child to the gate. A staff member will meet you at your car to conduct a symptom and temperature check.

We understand things happen. However, if your child is chronically tardy, you may be asked to move to online instruction. ALP has limited staffing. Our gates open for drop off at 7:45, and all staff is available at that time.

Student Release begins at 3:00. Please put your child(ren)'s name sign (previously sent to you) on your dashboard so that staff can see who you are picking up.

We are requesting that you hand our staff members the paperwork from the packets sent out last week upon drop off. There are multiple pages in the packet to be completed and returned with your child on the first day of school. Our office would like to point out specifically the blue card stock emergency form that is enclosed. It is important that this document is completely filled out. Unfortunately, we are not able to have students on campus who do not have emergency contacts.

In addition, a Parent Waiver was sent out for students returning to school in person. We ask that you please complete this waiver and return it on the first day of school as well. We have attached it below for your convenience.

Due to our limited staffing, we will NOT be answering our phones during drop off and pick up time. (7:45 - 8:05 and 2:55 - 3:20)

Parents of students online are encouraged to call between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Please send school supplies with your student on the first day of school. Items will be divided up by class and by students once students are in class. ALL STUDENTS should have the following ready on Tuesday, 9/8:

• A binder labeled with first name, last name, AND grade level
• 1 set of 5 tabs unlabeled in the binder
• 1 pencil box with first name, last name, AND grade level

Everything else will be collected, labeled appropriately, and separated in pencil boxes appropriately. Extras will be kept by the homeroom teacher to replace missing or broken supplies.

We are requesting that parents purchase headphones or earbuds for students to utilize beginning 9/21/20 for benchmark testing.

If your child requires medication distribution at school, please contact Anne Cotty in the front office ASAP to set up a time to deliver the appropriate meds and paperwork. You can visit our website or click on the links provided for detailed information on our Medical Distribution Policy and required paperwork.

The paperwork below will need to be completed if your child requires that we have an epi-pen, inhaler, or any other medication on campus.

If your child will be attending our after school program, please be sure to complete the registration form and payment information prior to Tuesday, September 8th. Registration paperwork was mailed home in the back to school packet but is also available on our website and below.

If you have not submitted registration paperwork and payment by 9/8, your child will not be permitted to stay on 9/8. Students may not stay for after school services until paperwork and payment have been submitted.

As previously scheduled, Parent/Teacher Conferences will be September 16th, 17th, and 18th. These are early release days on our calendar without after school services. Teachers will be sending out Sign Up Genius links in their team newsletters.

Parents/Guardians can sign up for a 20-minute time slot. If your child(ren) attends school via our in-person pathway, you may choose to conference via Zoom or in person. However, if your child(ren) is/are on our online pathway, we will schedule you for a Zoom conference.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place with your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers will have data sheets from all of your child(ren)'s teachers to share with you. They will also help facilitate any questions that you may have for other teachers.

For students who are signed up for In-Person Learning, we will have Picture Day on Tuesday, September 29th beginning at school start. Parents/Guardians who have chosen to remain online will have another opportunity for pictures in the spring. More information will be sent out as we get closer to the date.

Students will be required to wear their school uniforms for pictures and are asked not to wear animal ears headbands or hats. Students will be permitted to remove their face mask for pictures, as students will be attending the photo room one at a time.
