World Geography
Last Week students continued their reading by identifying the main historical points, beliefs, and practices of Christianity and Islam. They had their field trip on Wednesday, visiting three places of worship. After we will close out the week beginning our examination with how the Old City of Jerusalem is sacred to all three monotheist religions.
This Week students will continue their examination of the Old City of Jerusalem through reading and annotating an article. They will use this as their evidence to craft their summative essays on What Makes the Old City of Jerusalem Holy for all three monotheist religions? Students will submit their three paragraph essays by 12/16, Monday.

This is a friendly reminder of absentee expectations for students. We are trying to get through a novel start to finish in December and it is very important that students make up the work that they miss. I understand there is a lot of illness in this time of year as well as family trips, but students should be entering and retrieving their missed work immediately. Whatever they missed, they must make up including the worksheets that correspond with the reading. It is also VERY helpful to receive emails when a student misses school so I can inform you directly about what they will need to make up, thank you to everyone who has been doing this.
