Participant's Cost for the Class: $165.00 for a 16hr course, and the refresher cost is $75.00

Description of the Course:
16hr IL CCL- $165, 4/12 & 4/19 (certified and approved through ISP to obtain an IL concealed carry license)
3hr Refresher- $75.00, 4/19/25 (Mandated to renew)
The course emphasizes safe gun handling, concealed carry in public, interactions with law enforcement, and acquiring the skills necessary to survive a critical incident. The instructor has been certified for over nine years in Illinois, and over 1,000 people have received their CCL through him. He has worked in the private sector providing armed security and is currently working for our local Sheriff's office.
Illinois Law requires Concealed Carry License Applicants to complete 16 hours of Classroom and Range Training. However, if you qualify for 8 hours of "Prior Training Credit" for having an honorable discharge from military service, completing an NRA Basic Pistol Class, or other activities listed on the Illinois State Police Website (www.isp.state.il.us), you only need to attend 8 hours of instruction.
You need to bring: Your Concealed Carry Handgun, waistband holster, a suitable belt to carry your equipment, and 60 Rounds of ammunition. Eye and Ear Protection is mandatory. Dress for the weather.
Note: You will NOT bring a weapon to the Shawnee College Extension Center, only to the range site on April 19th.
Please download and print out this Conceal and Carry Liability Waiver from the registration link. Then, bring the completed waiver to class.
