PASTRY & BAKING CLASSES
Pathway: Business / Hospitality
Under the direction of our fabulous CTE Family & Consumer Science teacher, Jennifer Roberto, students in the Pastry & Baking class are learning the fundamentals of how to prepare baked goods and then use their creativity to decorate cakes. See the first place winners below. Students remarked that the hardest part of this unit was coming up with a creative theme, and best part was decorating, then eating the cake.

Educational investment: HS diploma or equivalent, usually on-the-job paid training, but it's helpful to have a portfolio (photos) of any work you have done on your own.
St. Paul College has a Pastry & Baking Certificate (30 credits).
