Rev. Mary Bahr-Jones was the Temporary Supply Associate Pastor here at OLCCP from 2011—2013. She later served as Transitional Pastor at Milford Presbyterian Church as well as an interim at New Life in Sterling Heights and Crossroads in Wixom. Welcome again, Pastor Mary!!

OLCCP is a Stephen Ministry congregation, which means many of our members and friends have completed a 50-hour training course in peer counseling, listening, and referral. We have TWO worship during the summer months at 8:30 am and 10:00 am. The first service is outside by the Lake (weather permitting). Bring your own chairs if you would like.

Kid's Sunday School Update:

Our summer worship times at 8:30 am and 10:00 am start June 22. We will continue to provide Kid's Sunday School over the summer at 10:00 am starting June 22.

GLU Youth Update:

GLU Youth will worship with families during the summer. GLU Youth group class will resume in the fall. Stay tuned for ways to help at planned GLU Youth gatherings and activities over the summer

We need two volunteers to serve in our classrooms one Sunday per month. We will provide prepared lessons, supplies and items needed in advance.

Your kids will explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world and learn that Jesus is a faithful friend we can trust, our True North forever.

Thank you to those who have already brought in items for VBS. We would like the whole church to be part of our Vacation Bible School this summer by donating food and supplies that the children will be

using throughout the week.

We have set up a True North VBS Donation Tree in the main lobby with gift tags. Please feel free to take one tag or many and help make True North an unforgettable experience for the kids.

How big is your God? This is a rich, meaningful study for anyone desiring to know God and themselves better. You can have no higher goal nor greater joy than to know God personally. And you cannot begin to know Him intimately until you know Him by name.

Author Mary Kassian reveals fascinating insights about 35 Hebrew names of God that

describe His character, His relationships, and His purpose. Saturated in scripture, we’ll learn the significance of each ancient word. Chapters consist of names of deity, character, power, authority, splendor, intimacy, and sufficiency.

The 8-session study includes brief daily homework with enjoyable and engaging activities. We’ll discuss the homework lessons in class. Books will be available at our first class. If you will miss some classes because of summer, join us whenever you can. You’ll be awestruck by the Lord’s magnificence and your heart will be compelled to worship and praise Him.

Open Door’s food pantry provides food and care items on a monthly basis to qualified low income men, women, children and seniors. While school is out for summer, hunger doesn't take summer vacation. We are now collecting lunch items for kids. Some ideas for items on the wish list include:
