Power of a Question
The power of a question is profound. For all us who have spent a day with a two year old we all know that questions are how we learn about the world. As we get older we start to limit our questions. As teachers we start to feel that we should have the answers to the questions that students ask, especially those regarding the content we teach. Sometimes the largest impact we can have is not answering the question. Allowing the student to explore the answer for themselves. Imagine the power a simple question can have. Our students have the ability to ask those questions and specifically our students have some of the unique perspectives it takes to be creative and find out how to answer those questions.
How can you provide students with an opportunity to ask questions ...
