We had a beautiful fall but he cold weather has officially arrived and it looks like it is here to stay! Here are a few reminders for the winter months:

• Students go outside for recess as long as the feels like temperature is 5 degrees and warmer. Please be sure to send them to school with appropriate clothing. A doctor's not is required for any requests for students to stay inside for recess.
• Arrival and Dismissal timelines remain the same. Please take extra care to ensure that you arrive at school with enought time for you child to be in their classroom by 9:05. Please be patient at dismissal as many of our "walkers" will be switching to "car riders" and learning their end of day routines.
• School Closures are decided and announced by the district. Emails and/or phone calls will be sent to families if schools are closed. IPSD 204 follows an E-Learning plan on these days. Students in grades K and 1 should already have snow day packets at home just in case. Students in grades 2-5 will recieve a digital packet via google classroom by 9:00 a.m. on the snow day. If schools are closed for a second day, more information will be sent to families and live, online instruction will take place.

Registration for tomorrow's Paint Night is closed. For those attending, please enter at Door 2 and proceed to the lunch room for check in. Looking forward to a festive night!

Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy to assist under resourced families in Naperville (that is safe for children ages 6-12). No stuffed animals or board games, please. Both a Target and Amazon Gift Registry have been created. A collection box is located inside Kendall until 12/9. By invitation, parents and/or guardians are invited to the Giftmart Toyshop where they can purchase new toys for $2.00 per toy. 100% of the proceeds made from the sale of each toy will be donated back to each invited school to fund much needed resources. Thank you for your generosity and participation!

We are excited to bring back the Kendall Variety Show!!! Auditions will start at 4pm on December 17th. Auditions are open to ALL students in grades K-5! Both group and individual acts are welcome! After you have signed up, you will receive an email from KendallVarietyshow@gmail.com with a questionnaire that needs to be filled out and returned before the auditions on Dec. 17th.
