The Cedar Hill High School Girls Basketball Team earned victories over a couple of Mansfield ISD Schools this week.

Makiyah Risby scored a game-high 19 points, including five 3-pointers, in a 70-27 win at Mansfield Timberview on Tuesday. Brooklyn King added 16 points. Here's a photo gallery from the game.

Cedar Hill defeated Mansfield Lake Ridge, 73-42, as five players scored in double figures last Friday in the home opener.

The Lady Longhorns (6-3) will face Converse Judson (11-1) on Tuesday in Alamo City Hoops, in San Antonio. Judson's only loss this season was a 65-60 overtime loss against San Antonio Wagner.

Cedar Hill will face Cibolo Steele (7-3) on Wednesday in Alamo City Hoops.

ALUMNI UPDATE

UTEP guard Portia Adams had six points, five assists and five rebounds in a 83-54 win over New Mexico Highlands. The Miners (3-1) will visit Texas A&M--Corpus Christi on Tuesday.

The Cedar Hill High School Boys Basketball Team will host Denton Ryan (2-5) on Massive Monday, this Monday.

The Longhorns (2-2) dropped their home opener to former district rival, Mansfield Lake Ridge, 81-69. They picked up a victory, by forfeit, over Lewisville after the Fightin' Farmers had to forfeit several games.

Then, Cedar Hill defeated Dallas St. Mark's, 71-63 on Saturday.

Cedar Hill will face Arlington Grace Prep (6-1) as part of the Thanksgiving Hoops Classic on Saturday in Duncanville. Grace Prep's only loss this season was a 69-61 setback against McKinney Christian.

Liberty cornerback Amarian Williams had two interceptions and two tackles in a 38-21 win over Western Kentucky. Quarterback Kaidon Salter finished with 174 total yards and two touchdowns in the game. The Flames (8-2) will return to Texas to face Sam Houston (8-3) on Saturday.

East Texas A&M defensive lineman Leon Young made two tackles in a 38-24 loss to Incarnate Word for the Lions (3-9).

Nebraska wide receivers coach Garret McGuire helped lead the Cornhuskers (6-5) to its first bowl bid in eight years with a 44-25 win over Wisconsin. The Cornhuskers will visit Iowa on Friday.

Sam Houston punter Jadon Cardell had three punts for 124 yards in a 21-11 loss at Jacksonville State. The Bearkats (8-3) will host Liberty on Saturday.

Texas Tech linebacker Charles Esters III made a tackle in the Red Raiders' 56-48 win at Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State defensive lineman Xavier Ross had a sack in the loss. Tech (7-4) will host West Virginia on Saturday. OSU (3-8) will wrap up the season Friday at Colorado.

Tulsa wide receiver Kamdyn Benjamin had four receptions for 61 yards in a 63-30 loss at South Florida. The Golden Hurricane (3-8) will wrap up the season on Saturday against Florida Atlantic.

Texas Southern defensive lineman Syncere Massey recorded four tackles in a 31-23 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the season finale for the Tigers (5-6).

Stephen F. Austin running back Jaylen Jenkins had eight carries for 46 yards in the regular season finale -- a 32-19 win over Abilene Christian.
