Update from NURSE π©ββοΈ
Flu, other respiratory illnesses, and Norovirus are very high in the school and the community right now. Please help us keep our school healthy.
If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home from school. Please call or email me as to the reason why they will be absent.
Please encourage good hand hygiene with soap and water, and encourage good respiratory etiquette.
Students and staff must be fever free without fever reducing medication, vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hrs. and have a reduction in symptoms before returning to school.
The Respiratory illness guidelines from the BCHD include COVID, RSV, Flu Etc. are as follows:
Stay home until:
1. Fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medications.
2. Symptoms must be mild and not a disruption to their learning.
3. Masks should be worn for 5 days following the fever free/mild symptom period.
Just a reminder, children are not allowed to carry medicine to school. All medication needs to be brought in by a parent or guardian and given directly to me.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold. The students go outside unless the temperature is below freezing. It is chapped lips season. Please send in chapstick if your child is prone to chapped lips.
