TIGER CONNECTION

• All students will receive eclipse viewing glasses provided by the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
• Students will receive safety training on how to properly view the eclipse prior to the event.
• For their safety, MISD’s youngest students, Pre-K and Kindergarten, will view the eclipse on monitors in their classrooms.
• Out of an abundance of caution, all campuses will be closed to visitors from 1:20 to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8.
• If you prefer your student not participate, please complete the required google form - See below
• Students and parents can learn more about how to safely view an eclipse by watching this NASA video. For more information about the upcoming eclipse, visit the NASA website.

Students who opted out of participating in the Eclipse event will report to a specified supervised area in the school. Students must have submitted an Opt-Out form. Deadline was April 5th by noon.

Senior Chromebook

Senior Chromebook collection will be May 15 & May 16

The University Christian Church has opened the doors of their Prom Dreams Boutique for the spring season! The boutique will be open on Thursdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm, March 7 –May 9 and Sundays from 12:30pm – 2:30pm in April. You can also request an appointment if these dates and times do not work. We have rooms and closets filled with items for students to come “shop” (free of charge) for their prom dance or special formal event.

There are no requirements for using this ministry. Students do not need to have any church affiliation; this is simply a ministry providing dresses, shoes, purses and jewelry to those who need them. We know how special school dances can be for high school students, and we want to help make it a possibility for them to attend feeling confident and beautiful when otherwise they may not be able.

Safe and fun event that include casino type games, laser tag, photo ops, music, food and more! Amazing prizes students can win.
