Lincoln Linc-October 1st
Lincoln Elementary. Home of the Positive Polecats.
Principal's Message
I am incredibly proud to be a member of the Public Schools of Petoskey! What fills me with pride is the wealth of opportunities available to our students. These enriching activities significantly enhance their learning experiences. We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support from both our school and the community.
Recently, our fourth graders enjoyed an exciting field trip to Flywheelers, while our fifth graders spent a day biking. We also had authors visit our school to share insights about their craft, and throughout all these events, one thing was abundantly clear: our students, the mighty Positive Polecats, truly shine. Time and again, I've heard compliments about how respectful and engaged our kids are. One author even remarked that he had never encountered a school so calm and high-functioning.
As a principal, these moments are truly special for me. Our staff, parents, and students all recognize theimportance of community. The spirit of learning thrives within these walls! I truly appreciate for fostering this environment for our students. We are fortunate to have such amazing kids and dedicated staff at Lincoln.
Stay tuned for upcoming events, including the book fair, parent-teacher conferences, and the Halloween Parade! And soon, students will have the chance to dunk me in our splash fundraiser! While I can’t say I’m looking forward to that, I’m excited to see our kids having a blast.
Keep up the fantastic work, Polecat families!
GO POLECATS!
Here at Lincoln we love celebrating all things with our students, especially Birthdays!
Out of respect for other students and our custodial staff, we do not allow locker decorating for Birthdays.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
As always, classroom Birthday treats can be dropped off to the office for your student's special day. Please be mindful of allergies within your student's particular class; reach out to your student's teacher for more information.
Safety Patrol News
Our Lincoln Safety Patrol have been doing a fantastic job!
They show up early every morning with smiles on their faces and leave a little later than everyone else with that same sparkle in their eyes. Be sure to thank them next time you see them!
As a reminder: Safety Patrol members are trained to keep adults out of the building until staff member approval is granted. If you are attempting to enter into the building, please wait patiently outside as the Safety Patrol member locates a staff member.
Thank you for understanding!
