Irish Gifted Academy
Week of September 22nd, 2024
Hey IGA Family!
What an incredible week it was last week, filled with learning, innovation, and wonderful memories! I am so proud of the way our students continue to engage and grow in their educational journeys while preparing to be globally competitive, lifelong learners.
One of the week's highlights was the seventh-grade field trip, where students saw firsthand the fruits of their labor. They visited the muscadine vines they learned to prune last year, and it was amazing to see their excitement as they observed the produce growing—an experience that connects learning to the real world in such a meaningful way. Thank you Mrs. Pam Jones, and our amazing Dublin City Schools Nutrition Department, for making this possible for our students!
As September is National Literacy Month, I encourage all of our families to continue fostering a love for reading at home. Reading with your child is one of the most important ways to support their academic success. Whether it’s a bedtime story or exploring new topics together, the impact of shared reading experiences is immeasurable.
Lastly, a friendly reminder to complete our fall district survey, which can be found in the newsletter link below. Your feedback helps us better serve our students and families, and we greatly value your input.
Also, just a reminder to utilize our Dublin City Schools Spirit Store for the school district! Now you can show your school pride with a variety of apparel and accessories. Be sure to check it out and support our school community by visiting --> https://bakerssport.chipply.com/dublincityschools/. You can also visit https://store.ronclarkacademy.com/ to load up on your House System gear and attire for your favorite house!
Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep the momentum going!
With gratitude,
Mr. Taylor

Stakeholder Survey Now Avaliable
Here in Dublin City Schools, we're committed to continuously improving our learning environment and ensuring our students thrive. As part of this commitment, we need YOUR invaluable feedback. Fighting Irish Family, please take a few moments to complete our Fall Family Stakeholder Survey - specifically sharing what we're doing well and what we can do to better support our students and community.
Open NOW - October 2nd, the survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Your responses will be confidential and used solely for the purpose of enhancing our school environment and educational outcomes.
Let's Step Up!
Our Dublin Middle School and Irish Gifted Academy National Beta Club are working on a service project to help those in need get off on the right foot through the collection of gently used and new shoes. You can drop off shoes at either location: (1501 North Jefferson, 1127 Hillcrest Parkway). Contact Marci.mulkey@dcsirish.com or arrion.reed@dcsirish.com for more information. Let’s make a difference one pair of shoes at a time!
