- New volunteer opportunities under Connect with the PTO!
A Note from the Office
Greene Families-
Earlier this week I sent an email about us getting students on and off campus safely together...and boy you all came through yesterday!! Mrs. Constable shared that kids were on the buses in 2.8 seconds and our car pickup line was long...but patient. THANK YOU!!
At Thursday's Coffee Talk, a group of parents had the opportunity to share how they feel that EH Greene is currently meeting our Core Values of Connect, Grow, and Empower. The list was long and included everything from Greene 101, Flight Crew, our Teams, Clubs, Student Led Conferences, and more! We spent the rest of the time looking for opportunities...if you would like to be a member of a team working to grow Greene's possibilities let us know!
October starts next week...we will blink and it will be Winter Break. Let us know if you need anything and have a safe, fun filled weekend!
Thanks!
Mr. Cole, Mrs. Constable, and Mrs. Moss.
Parent Lunch Week
Parent lunch week will be held next week, October 7th-11th. Parent lunches will be outside in the courtyard. Lunch days are determined by student homerooms. Please read the guidelines on the bottom of the schedule.

Board of Education Information Session
The Junior High and Greene PTOs will be hosting the Board of Education at the E.H. Greene school for an informal information session. The goal of this meeting is for families to:
- Get to know about the members of the Sycamore School Board of Education.
- Learn about the responsibilities of the Board of Education (BOE).
- Ask questions and have discussions in an open and welcoming environment.
Please fill out the form linked HERE (and below) for any questions or discussion points that you would like to have addressed. This will allow our BOE members to prepare meaningful answers to questions that may be more complex. We will also be able to address questions as they arise during the meeting.
When:
Monday, October 7th @ 6:30 pm

The Friendship Project: A Great Way to Make Friends!
We believe that if students build more friendships that are positive influences on each other’s lives, our school culture will also be more positive.
The Friendship Project had a successful first meeting. Enjoy this newsletter from our first meeting!
Due to the numerous requests, we have reopened this link to register for The Friendship Project.
- Every month, there will be a separate sign up emailed to all Friendship Project members along with a detailed itinerary of that month's activity. Depending on the activity, we may have to limit the number of students who can participate. If a limit is needed, that information will be shared prior to each activity.
- The 6th grade Flight Crew and I will work hard to provide every student with the best possible experience in The Friendship Project. We have over 150 students registered as part of The Friendship Project, so we will lean on parent volunteers for support during our activities. Please look for parent volunteer information each month.
- Our next Friendship Project meeting is scheduled for October 15th. This date is a personal learning day. Our current plan is to still meet on that day, but this may be adjusted. More details will be shared in the coming weeks!
If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mr. Graulty: graultyt@sycamoreschools.org.
Clubs and Activities
EH Greene Club Activity Permission Slip Links:Clubs and activity permission slips will come available about 2 weeks before the club’s first meeting date. Staff members in charge of the club will have paper copies of the permission slips. The permission slips that are linked in this document are not digital sign ups. These permission slips are here if you would like to print them and turn them in rather than completing the paper copy available at school. As always, if you have specific questions about a club, please contact the staff member who runs that club. Contact information can be found in the Activity Brochure.
Note: If your child has additional adult support throughout the school day and will need additional adult support for a club or activity, please contact Jayme Maupin maupinj@sycamoreschools.org when you sign up for your club.
