Dear Moser Families and Students,
I hope this letter finds you well and refreshed after the summer break. As we embark on a new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our returning students and a special greeting to those who are joining us for the first time.
Our team has been hard at work preparing for a year full of learning, growth, and new opportunities. Please take a moment to read through this newsletter, as it contains important information to support you and your student throughout the year.

Absence and Tardies
The daily absence and tardy form has been an efficient tool for families to report their student's absence or tardiness. This vital information will allow the Moser school staff to plan accordingly to support your family and student needs.
There are two sections to the form. Please complete the first section by submitting your email and the school password. The password:
The password was created for accountability and safety purposes. Only parents and guardians of Moser students identified in PowerSchool should have access to this password to complete the form. Please do not give the password to any other adult or child.
Section two will consist of basic absent and tardy questions. We will certainly follow up with you if any questions or concerns arise. Meet and Greet
Our Meet and Greet is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28th. This event provides families and students with the opportunity to meet their grade-level teachers during an informal 30-minute session in their respective classrooms, and tour the school. Following each Meet and Greet session, parent informational meetings with the school administration will be held in the Moser cafeteria.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming PAC meeting, where we'll be discussing important topics and planning for the school year ahead.
During this meeting, we will cover:
- Upcoming School Events: Learn about the exciting events we have planned for our students and how you can be involved.
- Ideas and Suggestions: Share your thoughts and ideas to help make our school year even better.
- Field Trips: Discuss the field trips we’re planning and how we can make them enriching experiences for our students.
- PBIS Initiatives: Learn about our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiatives and how they contribute to a positive school environment.
- Parent Support: Explore ways parents can support the school through fundraising and volunteer involvement.
Your input and participation are crucial to the success of these initiatives, and we would love to have as many parents involved as possible. Together, we can make this a fantastic year for our students!

Parent Pick-Up
All students who are picked up by family or designee after school will need to report to the gym lobby doors at 3:05 pm. At about 3:10 pm, the adult will be welcomed into the gymnasium and required to present a photo I.D. to sign the student out.
School Meals
Our school meals program provide students with a breakfast and lunch program offered to families. Families wishing to participate must either create a My Payment Plus account, and/or submit an application for free and reduced meals.
Participating students will receive a light breakfast at school starting at 8:00 am. Students are to report to the cafeteria and proceed to their homeroom. Students are not allowed to bring breakfast from home to eat in the classroom.
Students are welcome to bring their own bagged lunch or purchase lunch from the cafeteria.
For families interested in free and reduce lunch options, please submit your application today. Attached you'll find the application, information on the online app, FAQ form, SNAP and Husky Health programs to help you. It's quick and easy!

School Schedules
All bell and calendar schedules are posted in the Moser School website.
School Supplies
The school purchases all necessary school supplies for students. Students are encouraged to bring healthy snacks, a bagged lunched, and a water bottle to school every day. Your student's classroom teacher will contact you if there are any specific items needed for their classroom.
Student Chromebooks
All students will receive a Chromebook to enhance their learning here at Moser School. Chromebooks are expected to stay in school unless they are assigned to go home by the classroom teacher to complete a specific task.
Student Handbook
The handbooks this school year will be shared electronically with all families. The student handbook is attached and it can be found in Moser School's website. We are asking that you spend time reviewing the Moser School Student Handbook with your student. There are many important pieces of information regarding the operation of our school for parents, guardians and students.
Please pay close attention to the following sections in the handbook: Attendance Regulations, Breakfast, Bullying, Bus Transportation Rules and Regulations, Chromebooks, Health and Safety, Homework, Student Attire, and Student Behaviors. It is essential that you and your student understand our school's policies and procedures. We'll review most of these sections at the parent information meeting.
Parent/guardians will receive a handbook signature slip to be returned to school by August 30, 2024. This signature form is also attached. By returning the slip, you are indicating that you have reviewed the 2024-25 Moser School Student Handbook. Thank you for your support.
Student Lockers
Students will have an assigned locker to them. The exterior of the locker cannot be decorated. However, your student can use magnets for the inside of their locker.
Transportation Survey
If your student will consistently take the bus home on a regular and early dismissal school day, DO NOT complete the form.
The information provided in the form will help Moser staff plan accordingly to ensure that all students are transported home in the correct manner during regular and early dismissal school days. Please complete the form ONLY if your student will be a walker, parent pick-up, attends daycare, or transportation from school to home will change on Early Dismissal Days.
