CRIMINAL JUSTICE PRACTICE TRAFFIC STOPS
The Criminal Justice students conducted mock traffic stops utilizing the Bath PD patrol vehicle and assistance from the officer. Students used their newly learned radio communication skills to call the stop into dispatch. They then practiced safely approaching the vehicle and contacting the driver, as well as how and when to make a warning or citation decision. The AM students worked with Corporal Kaake. The PM students worked with Officer Mancini. Both are from the Bath PD. Thank you to the Bath Police Department for your help with these lessons!
BATH TECH CARPENTRY PART OF DOE VIDEO
This week Bath Tech and Morse High School were visited by representatives from the Department of Education and the Maine Loves Public School initiative. Bath Tech - Morse High School was one of six public schools in the State of Maine to be filmed doing extraordinary activities at their school. Bath Tech Ed Tech, Amber Mixon, was interviewed about the house construction currently underway in the shop. Each year, Bath Tech students build a modular home in the shop. In addition to interviewing Bath Tech staff about carpentry, Morse High School staff were interview about the Unified Athletics, Yoga and Rock Ensemble. These interview will air on line and hopefully on television sometime late in December. We will let everyone know when this will be available to view.
