WHAT'S UP AT WMS?
SUCCESSFUL DRILLS
Our Evacuation and ALICE drills were successful this morning. We had a special guest who helped us walk to the library...Raider the WPD dog! Kids were calm and supported by our staff.
Back-to-School Night
Back-to-school night was a big success! The turnout was great and our new format seemed to allow families to get a good feel for the school and your student's teachers. Thanks to those that could make it. If you weren't able to make it, please feel free to reach out to your student's teachers with any questions.

Attention Grade 6 families!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO
Dear Watertown Middle School Families,
Welcome back to a new school year at Watertown Middle School! We hope you had a refreshing summer and are ready for the opportunities this academic year will bring. As part of our commitment to enhancing the educational experience for all students, the Watertown Middle School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is asking for your support. We suggest a donation of $25 per student to help fund a variety of important programs throughout the year.
Your generous contributions will help support:
- Enrichment Programs: Funding for extracurricular activities, field trips, and special events that enrich our students' educational experience.
- Classroom Requests: Providing teachers with additional resources and materials to create engaging and effective learning environments.
- Community Building Events: Organizing events and activities that foster a strong sense of community and school spirit among students, families, and staff.
- Student Agendas
- Popsicles in the Park
- Watertown Week
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- 8th Grade Semi-Formal
- .... and many other fun events and activities!
We also welcome volunteers to help make this year a success! We'd love to have volunteers from every grade represent the students and assist with various PTO activities. If you're interested or want more details, please contact me or attend one of our monthly meetings which will be held the 2nd Tuesday of the month beginning October 8th.
To make a donation, simply scan the QR code below for Givebutter or PayPal, or send a check made payable to "Watertown Middle School PTO" with your student's name and grade to the school office.
We understand that every family has different financial circumstances, and any amount you can contribute is appreciated. If you'd like to donate more or in another way, feel free to reach out to me at colleenwmspto@gmail.com.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our school community. Together, we can make this year memorable and successful for all our students.
Warm regards,
Colleen Mahoney Faherty
President, Watertown Middle School PTO
