Dear Friends

Commencement exercises for all three district high schools will soon be held, and 852 students will receive their diplomas. Our graduates have much to be proud of! Together, this group of students received millions of dollars in scholarships from school and community scholarship funds, community organizations, colleges, and regional and national organizations. Class of 2021 graduation info
This year’s ceremonies for our Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School graduates will be in-person events held on Tuesday, June 15, at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe. Our AIM High School graduates will celebrate in-person on Thursday, June 10, at Veterans Memorial Stadium here in Snohomish.
As we celebrate our graduates, it is important that all physical attendees continue to abide by safety protocols. As such, we want to remind our students and families of the state’s isolation and quarantine protocol (see below) regarding positive cases of COVID-19. All attendees (vaccinated and unvaccinated) at our high school graduation ceremonies must wear face coverings.
Isolation and quarantine protocol
For those who are COVID-19 positive or are determined to be unvaccinated close contacts of those who are COVID-19 positive:
- Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate for 10 days (from date of symptom onset or date of test if asymptomatic).
- Unvaccinated close contacts of those who test positive for COVID-19 must quarantine for 14 days from the last date they had contact with the positive person.
- Individuals in COVID-19 isolation or quarantine cannot be physically present at district graduation ceremonies or in our schools/on our campuses.
For those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19:
- Individuals are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after having received the second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna), or two weeks after having received a single-dose vaccine (Janssen/Johnson and Johnson).
- Those who come in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, but are fully vaccinated and have no COVID-19-like symptoms, do not need to quarantine.
- Fully vaccinated individuals can be physically present at our district graduation ceremonies and can be in our schools/on our campuses.
For those who are unvaccinated and are not COVID-19 positive or are not close contacts of those who are COVID-19 positive:
- These individuals can be physically present at our district graduation ceremonies and can be in our schools/on our campuses.
