VETERANS DAY
HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

Thank You, Veterans!
At the eleventh hour on November 11, World War I officially ended. Known as Armistice Day, or more widely as Veterans Day, this date is commemorated annually to pay tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service. At OLHMS, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Veterans, especially those in the Oak Lawn and Hometown areas.
On Friday, November 8th, OLHMS honored the courage and sacrifice of these heroes in our annual Veterans Day assembly. Eighth grade Student Ambassadors greeted more than 75 Veterans at the event, where OLHMS Principal Dr. Sean McNichols opened with a welcome address, recognizing both the OLHMS community and our esteemed Veterans.
