Dear Parents/Guardians,

The students and staff at River Trails Middle School will be celebrating our 27th Winter Carnival on Friday, December 17th. We are in need of raffle prizes for the students to win.

Raffle prizes are new items such as games, toys, sports equipment, accessories, gift cards, sweatshirts, etc. If you have a donation, you can drop it off in the office. Please place them in an envelope or bag labeled “winter carnival.”

Mr. Rogers asked that we please share his most recent newsletter. Please scroll toward the bottom, as there are two sections that include information for our current 8th graders who will attend Hersey next year.

Our Lost & Found bin is getting pretty full again. Please encourage your child to check for any lost items, as it will be emptied on 12/17 for donations.

Once your child has received both doses of the vaccine, you can submit a copy of their completed vaccination card to the district. Students that have received two doses of a covid vaccine will not have to undergo weekly COVID testing and, as long as they have no symptoms, can avoid quarantining if they are exposed to someone with a confirmed case.

To submit your card, please fill out this form and include a picture. You will need a Google account to use this form. If you do not have a Google account, you can email a photo of the card to mkrall@rtsd26.org or bring it to the office in person.

Dear Parents & Guardians:

It has been a tradition here at RTMS for family members to share a personal message, including a picture of their 8th grader (typically from young childhood) that will appear in the yearbook. We are offering to publish a photo and message this year at no additional cost.

Messages and photos can easily be submitted electronically by using this link. You will need to be logged into a Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account, your message and photo can be emailed to sletzig@rtsd26.org.

The due date for submittals is January 31st 2021! The publishing company has set hard deadlines and we will not be able to accept photos nor messages after this date!

Yearbooks can be purchased through the RTMS website.

In case you missed the October deadline, the Spiritwear store has been reopened, with a December 19th deadline for orders. Please see the graphic below, or click on this link for more info.

For parents of our Poms/Basketball players, there will be a table set up in the hallway during basketball games on 12/7 and 12/14 if you would like to order. We are looking for parent volunteers to supervise this table; if interested you may use this link to sign up.

Middle School students love to express themselves in their dress...but it is getting very cold outside!

Please be aware that students will be waiting outside until the entrance bell rings unless there is inclimate weather (rain or heavy snow), or unless the windchill/temperature is 15 degrees or below. Please remind your child to dress warmly for the winter months.
