Teachers will come back on duty tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6th! They will be working hard this week to prepare for the upcoming school year.

Our normal monthly newsletter will be sent out the first part of September, but below are a few reminders as we head into this next week. Students will also receive a calendar (one per family) with the year's events at Sneak Peek &/or the first day of school.

4:30-6pm for All Grade-Levels. If you purchased school supplies from PTO, they will be in your student's classroom during Sneak Peek. Can't wait to see everyone!

• Doors open at 8:10am
• Breakfast will be served from 8:10am-8:30am
• On the first day ONLY, students will report to their classrooms when entering the building.
• On the second day and all days following, students will report either to the gym (if they are not eating breakfast) or the cafeteria (if they are eating breakfast). This was our normal routine last school year. THEY WILL NOT GO TO THEIR CLASSROOMS.

*For end-of-the-day dismissal--If your student is parent pick-up/car rider, we will follow the same procedure as the last few years. You will receive a car tag with directions for the car line at Sneak Peek or it will be sent home with your student the first day of school.

• Students can enter building at 8:10.
• Classes will start at 8:30.
• If your student arrives after the bell but prior to 9:30 they will be counted as Tardy.
• If your student arrives after 9:30 but before 12PM they will be counted absent for the first half of the day.
• If your student leaves after 2:30PM they will be counted as gone but will not effect attendance.
• If your student leaves before 2:30PM they will be counted half day absence for PM.

• Monday, August 12th--4:30-6pm--Sneak Peak! Meet your teacher & drop off your supplies!
• Tuesday August 13th- First Day of School for PreK-6th! Students can be in the building at 8:10am,
• Classes start at 8:30am!
• Thursday, August 15th--First Day of School for ECSE!
• Friday, August 16th--No School for ECSE due to Preschool/ECSE Screener at SHES
• Tuesday August 20th--Band/Orchestra parent meeting 7pm @ SHHS

Ms. Bivens and Mrs. Cress LOVE to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff members with the WOOT WOOT Wagon. The first WOOT WOOT Wagon will be Friday, August 30th. Normally, Ms. Bivens, Mrs. Cress, &/or PTO stock the WOOT WOOT Wagon, but they would love help! Donations in any amount of canned soda, individual bagged chips, bottled water, &/or various types of candy (or anything you think our teachers/staff would like) would be so very appreciated. Please drop-off your donations in the office to Ms. Jordan, Ms. Courtney, or Ms. Skye Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Call the office at 785-379-5910 with questions. THANK YOU!!!
