The North PTO is excited for the upcoming school year. We are still in need of a Secretary for the 2024-25 school year; contact PTO President Julie Govreau at scnhs.pto@gmail.com if interested in this position.

Please support the North PTO by paying for your family’s PTO membership during registration which opens on July 1st.

PTO membership is $30/a family (not per student) and does NOT require any time commitment. 97% of our budget comes from membership dues. The PTO only runs two fundraisers a year (Tea sale in fall and Butter Braid sale in Spring); without membership dues numerous events would be in jeopardy. The PTO’s focus is on supporting student social events and student health, providing parent information and support for parent events at school, and providing North staff support when needed and hospitality. Membership dues is required to apply for PTO Scholarships.

The State of Illinois requires that students entering ninth grade, as well as entering an Illinois school for the first time must submit evidence of physical examination and a complete record of immunizations prior to starting classes or receiving services. Physical examinations must be done by a licensed physician (MD or DO), advanced practice nurse (APN) or examining physician assistant (PA). Only the State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination form will be accepted (Formulario de examen de salud).

Students entering ninth grade must submit evidence of a dental examination by May 15th of the 2024-2025 school year. Dental exams must be completed within 18 months prior to May 15th 2025. Dental form/Formulario dental

Students entering 12th grade must show proof of 1 dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) administered on or after their 16th birthday prior to starting classes or receiving services. This dose is typically the student's second dose of MCV4.

The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
