The Coyote Corner
What a Start to the School Year Edition!
So Much Has Happened In So Little Time
It is hard to believe that we have been in school for almost a month already. It all started with our Back to School night where we "chalked the walk" and got ready for the 1st day of school! Parents, staff, and community members showed up and showed out for our annual back to school tunnel and sent our kids to class in style.
We have had a pep assembly, tryouts for all of our sports teams, a pool party, Friday School, music at lunch, the start of Exploratory Classes, 6th Grade Dodge Ball night, 8th Grade 'Nuke Em night, Wind Down Wednesdays, a field trip to the Altitude Trampoline Park, school pictures, and let's not forget, No Tardy Tuesdays! And that is only the first 4 weeks of school!
Oh, and did I mention the launch of a brand new e-Sports Team!!!
Keep it up Coyotes because THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
E-Sports - New to the Middle School!
We are very excited to announce our brand new e-Sports program. The students will be using the Nintendo Switch as their gaming platform and the game they will be playing is Mario Kart 8! We are looking forward to giving even more students the opportunity to be part of a team and representing our school.
If you are able to help support the start of this team, I have attached the sponsorship letter below.
Important Information
After School Computer Lab
For students who are in need of a place to complete their school work or get extra help, our computer lab is open every day for students to use. Students may stay after school from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM to take advantage of this great resource.
We DO NOT have an after school bus for those students who stay after school.
Attendance
1. Our website has a "Report an Absence" feature that you can use.
2. You can log into your ParentVue account and do it that way.
3. You can call the school at 928-692-5265.
4. You can email jsnow@kaolaz.org and let her know why your child is out.
School Hours
We had a good start with students getting to school on time. We encourage your child to be at school as close to 7:30 AM as possible. This helps to alleviate traffic in the parking lot and allows them time to socialize and relax before class begins.
Classes officially begin at 7:45 AM and the gates close at that time. Students who arrive after that time must enter school through the main office and get a tardy slip before heading to class.
The bell rings at 3:15 PM to end the school day.
