Valentine's Day Dance
It was a LOVE-ly evening for a Valentine's Day Dance!
Music, games, flowers, competitions, snacks, and friends - there was something for everyone!
A HEART-felt thank you to the KA Student Council for a memorable night!
We Love Pep Rallies!
The Cardinals invited some hungry hippos to the final pep rally of the year.
Partners from all grades scooted around the gym to gather the most balls,
but Team Hall-Brzezinski pushed and pulled the way to victory!
Arts Integration Symposium Benefits Staff and Students
The most recent professional development day focused on arts integration,
which is a key component in the KA way of learning.
Arts integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and
demonstrate understanding through an art form.
At KA, arts integration is involved in our daily experiences including core and encore classes.
Guest speaker Jan Marnoch, a retired AASD educator and current mindfulness coach,
shared lessons that included examples of QiGong, arts integration, and nature mandalas.
The educator-led breakout sessions featured an array of topics in the
areas of technology, theater, music, literature, art, and social-emotional learning.
Teachers promptly used Ms. Malm's Neurographic Art lesson in their classrooms.
Neurographic Art is a drawing technique that captures how
our inner being reacts to the outer world.
The quiet lesson allowed the 8th graders to reflect on and process
their lessons on the Vietnam War and its impact.
Project ADAM - Heart Safe School
KA is a Heart Safe School, and the E-Team recently completed its annual
Project ADAM emergency response drill. The drill is an exercise that helps our school measure
our preparedness and strengthen weaknesses.
KA is fortunate to have more than 10 CPR/AED trained staff on the E-Team,
ready to use their skills during emergencies.
Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam's Memory) is named for Adam Lemel,
a 17-year-old Wisconsin high school student who collapsed and passed away from
sudden cardiac arrest while playing basketball.
More than 200 lives have been saved at
Project Adam Heart Safe sites since the program's inception.
Be a Cardinal!
Here is a glimpse of the countless wonderful things happening at
Kaleidoscope Academy each and every day.
Families that are interested in learning more about the school, scheduling a tour, or
enrolling their children for the 2025-2026 school year, should contact the KA office.

Learning the KA Way
Student Artist Paints Science Mural
When 8th grader Madison Tasson needed inspiration for her Passion Project,
she only needed to look as far as a blank wall in one of the new science rooms.
There, she discovered the perfect canvas for her creativity.
She proposed a science mural to Ms. Molitor, and then she got busy!
From October through February, she spent countless hours
preparing, perfecting, and painting the incredible mural.
Stop by Room 155 to see it, and thank Madi for sharing her passion with KA!
KA Scholars Perform for the Community
Congratulations to 7th graders Samara Thomas and Braya Jones,
who joined forces to highlight their talent through
a combined poetry and jazz piece (see above) during
AASD Black History Month celebrations.
The students are part of the STAR
(Scholars on Target to Achieve Results) program,
which is an initiative working to build educational opportunities for scholars in the Fox Cities.
Ramping It Up
During a hands-on exploration of simple machines in Science plus rates/ratios in Math,
6th grade students built ramps using cardboard boxes and tracks.
They raced small cars down the tracks and measured the distance traveled beyond the ramp. Students recorded the time in seconds and the inches traveled,
so they could calculate the rate of speed in inches per second.
Book Your Flight!
Imagine traveling to a country in Latin America!
The KA 6th graders may inspire you to turn your dream into a reality.
The students used persuasive writing skills to entice others to visit their chosen Latin American country. They created brochures, posters, videos, and digital museums to promote their countries.
Ask your favorite 6th graders for their travel recommendations!
One-Acts...All Amazing
After several weeks of writing and getting their performances ready,
the 7th grade Elements of Theater class stepped onto the stage and
showcased their original one-acts. Well done!
Cardinal Carriers on the Move
Students from our ID/Aut program had SNOW much fun being helpers, as
they gathered pieces of nature during a chilly outdoor adventure.
Back inside, they worked on mastering life skills, such as vacuuming.
The students often assist with tasks around the school, and recently,
they operated the Treat Taxi to share gifts of gratitude with amazing KA staff members.
Look Who Dropped In
The 8th grade Math students used their newfound knowledge of scatter plot data and trend lines to predict how long a bungee cord needed to be for a drop height that wasn't tested.
They double-checked the predictions algebraically and with graphing software.
The students saw the results up close and personal, when a superhero dropped in.
The bungee jump definitely lived up to the pre-experiment hype.
Construction Trades Fair
KA students traveled to Appleton West High School/Appleton Technical Academy (ATECH)
to explore various career pathways in the trades industry.
They connected with numerous community partners, and
they experienced hands-on activities.
The excursion aimed to provide students with a
jump start on manufacturing and construction careers.

It was a good run!
Kick...Run...Have Some Fun!
More than 50 students are getting their kicks as part of the KA Intramural Soccer Club.
Whether they use their heads or feet, the goal is to have fun!
Wrestle and Roll to Reach Your Goal
The KA wrestlers are taking a stance!
As the season draws to an end, the athletes strive to finish in the top position with no tapping out!
Grapple with greatness!
Hoop It Up!
The Cardinals basketball team exhibited hustle and hard work throughout the season.
The team included 7th and 8th grade athletes, and
their toughness was evident each time they stepped onto the court.
Invite your family and friends to enroll at KA!!!
Limited space remains for the 2025-2026 school year.
Summer School Opportunities
Nuts and Bolts
Please Help Us Keep the Students Safe!
Families that drive their students to school in the morning are encouraged to use extra caution!
Use the drop-off lane in front of the school on Brewster Street. Pull up as far as possible.
Students should exit the vehicles onto the sidewalk rather than the street. Drivers should carefully re-enter the traffic lane. Families that want to sit in the vehicles with their students should park on a nearby street until the bell rings.
