Hearing and Vision Screening

Information You Need To Know

After carefully assessing our capacity to safely conduct the state-required vision and hearing screenings following best practices previously developed by the Texas Department of State Health Services,

Corrigan-Camden ISD will begin hearing and vision screenings on all 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th-grade students starting the week of 9/20/21.

Spinal screenings for 5th/7th-grade girls and 8th-grade boys will begin on 9/20/21.

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will have vision screening completed by the Lion's Club on October 7th, 2021 with hearing screenings to follow.

Parents who choose not to participate at this time may decline screenings. If your child has already been screened this year by your physician, please send a record of that to your school nurse using the provided emails.

Please email declinations to dparker@ccisdtx.com or astifle@ccisdtx.com no later than 8 am on 9/20/21.
