Hello Quantum Families,


Happy New Year! Hope you had a relaxing break with family and friends. We are ready to get back into the swing of things! Students are busy re-connecting with friends and exercising those brain muscles in classrooms.

Celebrating Our 10 Year Anniversary

It’s Quantum’s 10 year Anniversary and I’d love to get family input on how we can celebrate! We are planning a celebration in the Spring, details coming soon. Please add any ideas to our Quantum's 10 Year Anniversary Google Form.

Trimester 2 Progress Reports

The midpoint of Trimester 2 is January 17th and it’s hard to believe we are halfway through the school year! Trimester Progress Reports will be sent out on January 24th, along with iReady scores. Teachers will be reviewing student’s progress on iReady and on our Quantum values and discussing next steps. Please utilize the Rooms app to reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions on their academic progress so far this year. Parents in 6-8 are encouraged to check the PowerSchool Parent Portal to monitor grades.


Basketball Coaches Needed

There is an upcoming season of Basketball for grades 5th-8th with the Boys and Girls club. If 5th graders would like to join, they are welcome to try-out with 6th grade. Tryouts are January 17th in the evening at Conrad Prebys Escondido Branch. If you are interested in coaching, please contact Max Hutchinson at 760-746-3315.


Try-out times are:

Boys: Big Gym

6th grade - 6 pm

7th grade - 7 pm

8th grade - 8 pm


Girls: Small Gym

6th & 7th grade - 7 pm

8th grade - 8 pm

8th Grade Promotion

Save the date for our 8th grade Promotion Tuesday, June 10th at 6:30pm on Quantum’s blacktop. Everyone is welcome to attend and there are no tickets.

Genius Hour

Genius Hour for Trimester 2 starts next week. Talk to your Quark about the Quantum values they are hoping to put into their design or their creation and how they plan on presenting this to the community. Our Genius Hour Showcase is Friday, February 7th at 1:25-2:30. We’d love to have families there to check out their Quark’s project and the projects of other students as well!

School Choice

Help us spread the word about Quantum! Share our school with family and friends with our Quantum Academy's welcome video. Quantum is only a school choice so every student wanting to come to Quantum needs to fill out an online lottery application. This applies to siblings as well. Fill out your application by the January 31st deadline.
