Students from Golden High School showcased Engineering Projects at NASA Johnson Space Center.
In April, a group of students from GHS journeyed to Houston, Texas, to present their engineering projects at the prestigious NASA Johnson Space Center.
Marek Krawski and Aiden Fellows, students of the Engineering 2 class, along with Amelia Brown from the Warren Tech Additive Manufacturing class, participated in the renowned HUNCH (High Schools United with NASA Creating Hardware) national program. Marek and Aiden worked on designing a Lunar City on the South Pole of the Moon, complete with specialized geography beacons to aid astronauts in navigating the lunar terrain.
Amelia contributed to the Hydrofuge Project, a cutting-edge, fully autonomous plant growth chamber devised for cultivating plants in environments with microgravity, such as the Moon, Mars, or the International Space Station.
Out of over 450 projects submitted nationwide, these exceptional students were among the select few chosen by NASA engineers.
Congratulations to Marek, Aiden, Amelia, and all the students for their dedication to Engineering. Golden High School takes pride in your accomplishments and in your representation of our community.

AP Exams Information
AP Exams have started this week! As buses do not run early on AP testing days, please ensure you have made arrangements to arrive to school by 7:15 AM if you or your student rides the bus. Afternoon exams should report at 11:15 AM outside of their exam locations. As buses do not run late and AP afternoon tests can potentially run past the final bell, please make arrangements to be picked up from school if you or your student rides the bus home. Students who arrive late will not be permitted to test and will incur a $40 College Board no-show fee. Please see College Board for a list of permitted/prohibited items. As there are many testers, we encourage students with cars to leave any prohibited items in their vehicles for retrieval once the exam concludes.
