Can you believe there are only six week of school until summer vacation?! Those six weeks have lots of events, so check the dates below and mark your calendar!

Good afternoon ALB Families! Here is all the information you need concerning the Art Show on Wednesday, April 16th!

What is the art show? Your student has created an original artwork that will be framed to cherish forever! Their artwork, along with the whole school, will be displayed altogether in the gym!

When and where is the art show?

1. Wednesday, April 16th from 4:30-6:00PM in the ALB gym
2. The ONLINE art show begins April 9th and goes until April 20th (This is when you pre-purchase your student’s artwork!)

Purchasing information and how to navigate: $28 is the price of your student’s framed artwork. It is highly encouraged to PRE-PURCHASE your student’s work online, however if you wish to purchase the night-of the art show, there will be card only options for you!

1. Click on your school's art show link: https://artomestore.com/collections/burrusselementary30064
2. View your child's framed great work of art by searching their name or their homeroom.
3. When you checkout, make sure you continue with the “Ship to School” option!
4. Pre-Purchase the framed artwork to skip the line at the art show! Anyone who pre-purchases their students’ artwork and cannot make it to the art show, please send your student to Mrs. Cantwell’s room the following day/week to take home their framed artwork! 😊
5. You are also able to share your child's art with family and friends for them to purchase a reproduction. Reproductions make a great gift idea for your loved ones!
6. If attending art show: After purchasing/ pre-purchase, please show a volunteer, an Artome Staff member, or Mrs. Cantwell your confirmation email & you will receive your orange bag to check out with!

Last Thing: The company that we work with is doing something special this year! It is called an “Art Angel,” and it is where you can make a *bonus* donation if you feel so inclined!

It's time to start thinking about PTA leadership and involvement for next school year. If you are interested in participating in an executive board role (President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer), please email me and let me know. We are also looking for parents to participate on committees, such as Fall Festival committee, Teacher Appreciation committee, etc. Please reach out to me if you are interested in serving!

We are keeping two favorite designs and have added in a new We Are Burruss design for t-shirts this year! We also are discounting our fleece jackets from $25 to only $15!

Per our school uniform policy, students are always allowed to wear Burruss or Marietta spiritwear, so grab yours today!

The School Governance Team (SGT) works with the principal to provide guidance and input on school initiatives and charter flexibility that aligns with the School Improvement Plan.

The next SGT Meeting is May 20 at 3:45 in the Media Center.
