Career Day!
Dear Parents and Volunteers,
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your invaluable contributions to our recent Career Day at Artondale Elementary. Your willingness to share your time, expertise, and passion with our students made the event a remarkable success.
Your presentations provided our students with a unique and engaging opportunity to learn about various careers and the different paths they can take in the future. The insights and experiences you shared have inspired and motivated them to explore their interests and think about the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
We deeply appreciate the effort you put into making your sessions informative, interactive, and enjoyable. Your dedication to our students’ education and future is truly commendable and has left a lasting impact on their lives.
Thank you once again for your support and for making Career Day an unforgettable experience for our students. We look forward to continuing this partnership and hope to see you at future events.
With sincere gratitude,

Theme of the Month - Cooperation
Hello Artondale Families,
This month we are focusing on the theme of cooperation. Other words that mean cooperation - teamwork, collaboration and unity. Our definition of cooperation is the act of working together towards a common goal. As a class community, each classroom is trying to earn certificates for common areas around the school - library, recess, dismissal, cleanest classroom, bathrooms, and hallway. You can ask your kiddo if they have earned any certificates yet. Talk with your child about how they are cooperative at home.
Spirit Days Start Next Week!

Summer Reading Program
Join us again this summer for our otter reading program. You otter be reading this summer! We have a summer reading challenge for you...read 1,000 minutes this summer! We also added a genre/topic bookmark as well. Return the tracker log and bookmark for 2 free books in the fall.
Use the reading tracker to keep track of the minutes that you read this summer. For every 20 minutes of reading, color in a circle...if you color all 50 circles then you have done it! 1,000 minutes of reading!!
Otter readers, don’t forget to use your reading strategies and to try some new reading genres. There are fun reading activities you can do and check off on the tracker sheets.
Look for links for other community reading programs (linked below) and to sign up for a Pierce County Library card.
Return the tracker sheets in the fall and get an otterific prize! We hope you enjoy your reading adventure this summer.
Students took home the reading path tracker and bookmark today in their Thursday folders. Don't forget to return the bookmark and reading path tracker in the fall for some otterific books! See the link below for the form.
