Washington College
https://www.washcoll.edu/academic_departments/index.php
Washington College was founded under the patronage of George Washington as the first college chartered in the new nation. Within a traditional liberal arts setting, students benefit from a supportive and personalized education that offers opportunities for undergraduate research, internships, creative projects, and study abroad. Students appreciate our setting on the scenic Chester River amid the ecological bounty of the Eastern Shore of Maryland as a natural extension of the classroom and a personal learning laboratory for their intellectual and social growth. Each year, Washington College awards the nation's largest undergraduate literary prize. Washington's legacy is reflected today in the Washington Scholars Program, which recognizes the promise of leadership through generous merit scholarships.
