There have been so many great successes and accomplishments by so many of you this school year and we want these last few weeks to be a celebration of your senior year.
There will be many final details to focus on as you finish these final weeks, so make sure you are paying attention to communication from us in your grade level google classroom, on WTV and email.

2024 Senior Prom
Graduation Seating & Tickets
Seniors: If you do not plan on participating in the graduation ceremony at the Tacoma Dome on June 8th, please contact Mrs. Greene in the Counseling office a.s.a.p.
Email: greene@skschools.org or Phone: 360-874-5629
Each Graduating Senior will be issued with 10 free admission tickets. Seniors may purchase additional tickets for family and friends for $2 per ticket. Infants 3 and under do not need a ticket.
Tickets will be available for pick up by graduates June 3-7 from the ASB office. Please note: ONLY senior graduates, with student I.D. may collect tickets, we do not release them to family or friends.
All books and technology should be returned by the end of the day on Thursday, June 6th.
Tickets are only released if there are no fines on your student account, no fee extensions or payment arrangements are available at this point. Make sure you return all SKSD items that you could (or have) received a fine for. You can check your student account online at any time or by visiting the ASB office.
Graduation is a private event and is not open to the general public. Tickets are required for entry.
Academic Concern
If you receive an academic concern report/letter/email after May 17th it means your graduation status is in question. You will receive a "pink card" from your counselor beginning Tuesday, May 28th. This card must be signed by both your teachers and counselor once it is certain you will pass the class in question.
Teachers may assign classwork and assessments up until the final week of school that could make a difference to your grades and graduation status, even if you do not meet the deadline to walk on June 8th.
Bring your signed pink card to the ASB office before you can collect graduation tickets.
Transcript Requests
Set up your free Parchment account now to send final transcripts to your college/university, employer, or the military.
Go to the high school website and find the Transcript Request link under Quick Links. Choose “HOLD FOR GRADES” in Parchment and your transcript will automatically be sent out once final semester grades are posted.
Scholarships, College & Job Applications
There is still time to apply for Scholarships and Jobs. Visit the Career Center if you have any questions or need help with applications or putting together your resume.
Graduation Rehearsal
Graduation rehearsal is Friday, June 7th in the morning and is MANDATORY. Attendance is taken, if you are not present for rehearsal you will not be permitted to walk with your peers at the Tacoma Dome.
Rehearsal begins at 7:30 a.m. in the high school commons for Senior Breakfast—Belgium Waffle Bar! Wear your cap & gown at rehearsal.
Following rehearsal graduates are bussed to the middle schools to participate in the Walk of the Graduates. Students will be brought back to campus around 11:00 a.m. "Walk of the Grads" is optional, but a fun way to begin your official celebrations. Students and Staff at the middle schools line the halls and congratulate you as you process through the hallways.
If you did not attend middle school in SKSD, you are welcome to join any procession with your class.
Where possible arrange your own transportation to school on June 7th, as all graduates are expected to leave campus promptly after returning from the Walk of the Graduates. There are no senior classes on Friday or mid-day buses home.
