NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

This year flew by! We will wrap up this week with a Triple A celebration, final exams, and three early release days. Please see below for the bell schedules for the week! You will also find information for summer items and back to school, so mark those on your calendars now.

Serving as the principal of this great school fills me with pride and joy! Thank you for sharing your children with us each and every day. Their voices, laughter and excitement will be missed this summer.

See you in August!

Schedule for the Week

This is our last week of school! Please check out the schedule for the week and encourage your students to prepare for and do their best on their final exams!

NJHS Fritz's Fundraiser

If you need an excuse to get ice cream, please consider joining us at Fritz's this Thursday, May 22 from 6-9pm. NJHS is hosting a fundraiser. You do need to show the electronic flyer below.

Chromebook Safety

You recently received an email from our Director of Technology regarding a dangerous #TikTokTrend. Here is the email in case you missed it:

We want to make you aware of a troubling national trend currently circulating on TikTok, known as the #Chromebookchallenge. This challenge encourages students to insert objects such as pencil lead or paper clips into Chromebook USB ports, which can cause the devices to smoke, spark, or even catch fire.

This behavior is highly dangerous and disruptive, causing serious damage to school property and putting students, their families, and staff at risk of harm or injury by fire or explosion. At VPSD, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment is a top priority, and any student engaging in such actions will face disciplinary consequences.

As we approach the end of the school year and the summer months, please be mindful that this challenge poses a risk both on and off campus. We appreciate your help in talking with your students about the dangers of this behavior and reinforcing the importance of treating school-issued technology responsibly.

Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our schools and community safe.
