Greetings Bulldogs ~
There's a BUNCH packed into this smaller edition of The Bulldog Blast. Let's switch some things up and I'll highlight a few items in bullet points.

Parent Teacher Conferences - We're in conference season!! We start this next week on the 8th and have another opportunity on the 14th. We encourage you to join us for these evenings as it's a GREAT time to connect with our master educators.
Costume Dress-up Day - We're bringing back what used to be a long standing tradition at EMHS. Yes - students may dress up in costume on October 31st. We will have more information as we get closer but I wanted you all to be aware. Our intention is to program some sort of costume contest - not sure of the details just yet.
Alumni - Are you an alumni of Edmond Memorial High School? We have BIG things on the horizon but step one will be to organize our EMHS alumni database. (Which currently doesn't really exist) We have a link below for alumni and we would love our former Bulldogs to get back in touch with us!
"She Loves Me" - Opening night of our fall musical is this next week. We would love to see great crowds for this event. You can reserve your tickets by clicking on the link below.

Don't forget that we have our homecoming tonight as we take on Santa Fe High School in an EDLAM game! Should be an AMAZING crowd. Homecoming court festivities begin around 6:30pm so please be early if you would like to see those... (See details email from earlier in the week)

I think that's it. Whew - The road goes on forever and the party never ends here at the most AMAZING high school in the State of Oklahoma! Go Dogs!

Parent Teacher Conferences Start Next Week!!

Our parent/teacher conferences begin this next week on October 8th. These are not scheduled and hosted as first come/first served. Please know that our teachers are located all over the building in different areas - due to space. Therefore, we have provided a guide that I will link below. There will be a few teachers that will be missing time at conferences due to athletic or student sponsor obligations. Hopefully, they have reached out through email to let you know they will be absent.

I have asked the teachers to keep conference time to a reasonable length. Should you feel you need more conversation time with a specific teacher - please set up a phone conference with them to continue the conversation about the progress of your student.

To understand the guide below - please know the following terms.

MAIN = Main Building
FA = Freshman Academy
FA COMMONS = Freshman Academy Commons Area

Parking @ EMHS Football Games

Parking challenges during large school events at Memorial High School are not new. However, concerns have recently been raised about parking on the residential streets behind the school, particularly vehicles parking in areas where it is prohibited. The main issue is parking on the north side of Scott Drive, where "No Parking" signs are posted, and the parking of vehicles that block access to private driveways. Attendees to the football game this Friday night and in the future should be aware that the Edmond Police Department will be patrolling the area to help address this issue.

Powder Puff Deadline

The deadline for form turn-in and payment is October 7th. Forms can be picked up and turned in outside the STUCO room.

Costume Dress Up Day - October 31st

Who says Halloween is just for the young kids?!! This year, we will allow students to dress in costume on October 31st. Now - this naturally comes with some guidelines so we wanted to get this information out to you early so you can plan accordingly. I'll go much more into detail as we get closer to the day...
