Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year
Welcome Back Noonan Mustangs
We are so happy to be back to school! We have so many wonderful things planned for our students, we can hardly wait!
Together we will make this a year to remember!
Message from your Principal, Mrs. Garcia
Welcome Back Noonan Family! We hope you had a fantastic summer! I'd like to give a warm welcome to our new Dean, Dr. Jeanne Bridges and our new Assistant Principal, Dr. Carrie Wright-Reyes. As we gear up for a new school year, we have set some high goals for our students this year and no doubt we will meet each and every one of them. One of our goals this school year is to increase our campus attendance! Increases in academic achievement can only happen if students are present in the classroom. Each day is a new opportunity to learn so therefore your child’s attendance is a crucial piece to their academic success! We have so many engaging activities planned for the new school year. We can't wait to see you on the first day of school, Monday, August 12th! Let's make it the best year yet! Go Mustangs! If you need any assistance, please contact us, we are here to help!
Important
Our start time will remain at 8:00 but our end time has been extended until 3:40 p.m. this school year!
Start Time

Attendance
As educators, we can not stress enough the importance of attendance. Students must be in class everyday to be successful and to show academic growth during the year. Each day that a student misses school, they are missing the opportunity to learn. Please make sure that you are doing your part in ensuring that your child is in an attendance every day.
Registration
Student Registration is still going on. Please ensure that your student is registered for the 2024-2025 school year.
Bus
If your child will need bus transportation, please call the front office 361-664-7591, prior to the first day. We will have bus packets/contracts available during our meet the teacher nights. You will need to visit this table to ensure that your child has the transportation needed. (Bus routes depend on address verification.)
Safety Protocols
If you need to enter the front office, please ring the bell at the front entrance to be let in the vestibule.
Proper Identification (driver's license/Identification card) must be provided if you will be checking your child out of school during the school day.
Arrival Procedures
Parents are encouraged to drop their child/children off at the proper drop off zones. Pre-K, Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students will be dropped off in FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will use the WEST SIDE GYM ENTRANCE ON GOLIAD STREET.
We do not open the doors to the building until 7:30 am. Due to safety reasons, we ask that you do not leave your child unattended outside of the building. Breakfast is served in the classrooms at 7:45 am. Please make every effort to have your child arrive on time daily.
Dismissal Procedures
We will not be using Pikmykid this school year. Please keep in mind that the front parking lot is only used for parking. If you utilize the front parking lot, you will need to park and walk your child to and from the crosswalk. Pre-K and Kinder students will need to be picked up in front of the school. They will be dismissed at 3:30 pm. 1st and 2nd grade students will also be picked up in the front of the school and dismissed at 3:40 pm. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be dismissed through the gym doors facing Goliad street at 3:40 pm. The small drive located off of Third St. by the old Noonan school concrete sign (the walking trail parking lot) can be used for parents to park and walk to pick up their students.
School personnel will be on hand daily to ensure students are safe as they arrive and are dismissed.
Student safety is our main priority so we ask that you please use the cross walk at all times.

Teachers use different platforms to communicate with with their parents. Remind and Class Dojo are just a few of these platforms. Each teacher will communicate with parents their preferred form of communication. You can also sign up for our campus wide Remind!
