We are thrilled to have a Knowledge Bowl team again this year! Whether you just want to come to Trivia Night for a night of fun or you want to come to learn more about Knowledge Bowl, all are welcome!
You can either bring a team already put together, or you can be assigned to a team when you arrive. Please email Mrs.Young at t.young@eatonville.wednet.edu if you plan to attend.

WARRIOR PE News
Happy Friday! Hope all had a great week…we sure did in our 6th grade P.E. class. Lacrosse was our unit the last two weeks. I sure observed a lot of growth with the students and their Lacrosse skills. Lacrosse is considered the “fastest game on two feet.” ( https://www.history.com/news/lacrosse-origins-native-americans) What an awesome sport to teach and learn about. I had an absolute blast teaching Lacrosse to my students and I am hoping they enjoyed it as much as I did. Some fun facts about Lacrosse…This sport was invented by the Native Americans and it evolved in Canada, where it was named the national sport in 1859. In 2021, the International Olympic Committee granted the sport full recognition, paving the way for a possible Olympics return in 2028. The first women's lacrosse game took place in Scotland in 1890, and the first American women’s team formed in 1926 at a Baltimore secondary school.
The skills that we focused on were cradling, raking, scooping, catching, throwing, shooting and goalie skills. With each skill, we participated in lead games that focused on a specific lacrosse skill. When our skill was throwing at a stationary target, we used a tennis object to throw at wall targets, ground nets and large garbage cans. When our skill focus was catching and throwing to a partner we used a yarn object. We ended our unit yesterday with a great lead up game that focused on cradling, raking, scooping, shooting and goalie skills using a yarn object.
