Congratulations....
...to Leah and Carter Mold, who were competing at the 2024 New Zealand National BMX Championships held in Hastings last week.
After two tough days of racing, Leah made her semi finals, placing 12th for the 10 Year girls and Carter placed 36th for 9 Year boys.
This is an awesome achievement and one their family and our school are very proud of!
5 aside Football 2024
A big well done to all Stanley Avenue School students, who competed in the Te Aroha Schools Friday night Football competition.
Special mention must go to the U13 Spurs and U11 Dragons for winning their competitions. Additionally, mention must go to the Under 9 Stags, who came Runners Up in their division.
We are proud of everyone's effort! Ka pai!

EPro8 - Stanley Ave
The EPro8 Challenge is an inter-school science and engineering competition. Every year over 25,000 students from throughout New Zealand take part.
Students participate in a series of events: firstly within their school and then inter-school.
These events are designed to promote science, engineering and problem solving.
Each class from Team Tui and Team Ruru have participated in an EPro8 Classroom Event, with the top teams from each class going on to the EPro8 School Final on Wednesday, March 27th. From this School Finals Event x 2 Y7/8 teams & x2 Y5/6 Teams have qualified for the EPro8 Inter-School Competition at Morrinsville Intermediate School next week.

Students who have so far competed throughout last week and this week have been engaged and enjoyed the challenge of building to a Success Criteria to win points and a position in the School Final. Mrs Harrison has been very impressed with all the participants, especially the winning teams from each class.

We have gone live on DirectGroup Uniforms with our new Sports Shirts that you are able to purchase. We feel moving forward this is a great option and will save a lot of time issuing and collecting sports shirts. 'Take a kid fishing' - Years 6/7/8 - 17th April
Due to the continued support of our sponsors, the Te Aroha Angling Club is once again in a position to run it's 'Take a kid fishing' day.. This will be run on Wednesday 17th April (1st Wednesday of the holidays)
We will travel up to Coromandel by bus where we will be fishing with Tom and Lorraine from Coromandel Fishing Charters 2013 Ltd.
This is for Year 6 - 8 students only (not 6- 8 year olds)
If you are interested, you will need to collect a disclaimer/permission slip from the office and return it no later than 9am on Tuesday 9th April.

Is your child interested in playing netball this season but unsure if they will like it. Bring them down to our Future Ferns Give it a Go Day.
They can join in on a skill session with other kids their age and play some games as a tester to the season! We have some special guests from Avis Magic who will be joining us!
