Kindergarten Sing -along
On Wednesday, December 18 @ 9:00 AM in the cafeteria, our kindergarten students would love for their families to join them for a holiday sing along. We ask our families to arrive early to ensure everyone is checked in prior to the event. As a reminder, every adult coming to the event needs a form of identification ---driver’s license or other government issued ID.
iReady Winter Diagnostic
Be sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming iReady Winter Diagnostics. All students will test in the area of math on Monday, December 9.
You can support your student(s) by:
*Ensuring their devices are at school and fully charged.
*Helping them to get a good night's rest before the test and a healthy breakfast in the morning.
*Giving them words of encouragement to take their time, read carefully, and do their best.
Thanks for your support!
Coosa Running Club Wants Your Shoes
Are you looking to clean out those unwanted shoes this holiday season? Looking for a place to donate them? Look no further, the Coosa Running Club will take them all! For a 5th year, the Coosa Running Club is teaming up with Grounded Running to collect shoes for those in need. Students can bring in any type of shoes in any condition during the month of January. With your help, and the support of our community, we have raised over 5,000 pairs of shoes! There will be boxes in the front lobby in January for shoes to be placed.

A Message from, Briana, A 4th Grade Leader
Are you interested in playing chess? I would like to start a chess club that would meet one day a week, (about an hour long) two times a month. The club would be for 4th and 5th graders. The amount of students in the club is based on the amount of student interested and the amount of adults willing to help. The school will be purchasing the chess boards for our club thanks to the donations from our business partners. If you know how to play chess or are willing to learn to help out with this club, please reach out to melisssa.pender@beaufort.k12.sc.us or call 843-322-6100.
Chess Club dates will be on Monday, January 13, 27; February 10, 24; March 10, 24 (6 days total) from 2:45-3:45. Parents must be willing to pick up students on these days. Mr. Murray, a 4th grade parent, will be leading the club. Applications will be sent home with interested students next week.
