WRCS Families
We are already one month into 2025, and it's off to a great start. Over the past month, students have participated in amazing learning experiences. Our kindergarten classes visited the public library, swimming lessons are in full swing, and our whole school celebrated Family Literacy Week by participating in various activities. Our junior high basketball teams are back up and running and our annual ski trip is right around the corner.
The weather this year has unfortunately resulted in icy conditions in our community. Thank you for your support and understanding as we tackle this issue. Just a quick reminder of the school’s cold weather policy, students will go outside for recess breaks unless the temperature drops below -23 (including wind chill). Please ensure your child has a warm jacket, gloves and a toque.
As a school we are fortunate to have proactive and positive School Council and Participarent groups who meet regularly. If you are interested in joining our meetings, please feel free! Everyone is welcome and we do appreciate parental input and support. If you do not already follow the Participarent group on Facebook, please consider joining.
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens on February 24th. If you know any families interested in attending WRCS please encourage them to register early as our kindergarten classes do fill up quickly.
