THE SEASONS ARE CHANGING!
It’s not just your fall and winter wardrobe that needs to change for the colder weather; your makeup and skincare routines need adjustments as well. Here are some simple tips to help you look beautiful all fall and winter long.
Makeup Tips for Fall/Winter
Tip #1 – Wear warmer lip colours in shades of plum and cranberry. Your lips will stand out and look absolutely gorgeous on pale skin. With a bold lip, you can minimize your eye makeup. Simply apply mascara and eyeliner, and you’re ready for the day!
Tip #2 – Put the bronzer away and apply pink or rosy shades of blush. Your cheeks naturally get flushed and rosy in the cold weather, so keep that look going indoors by applying a pop of pink to the apples of your cheeks!
Tip #3 – Avoid using coloured eyeliners such as blue or purple. Instead, line your eyes with warmer colours; black for younger skin or brown which is better for mature skin. If you must wear a colour, gold is suitable as it is a warmer colour. It’s also beautiful for a festive eye!
Tip #4 – Avoid neon eye shadows! Your best choice is to go with copper and gold. They are suitable for daytime and can be transitioned easily into a smoky evening eye. If these colours don’t suit you, alternatively, you can use taupe, gray, plums and deep purple.
Important Skin Care Tips for Fall/Winter
Tip #1 – Cleanse: This step should be done both a.m. and p.m. If you have dry or mature skin, use a multi-tasking balm that hydrates while it cleanses and doesn’t strip away your natural moisture. If you have oilier skin, consider using a cleanser that removes impurities without surfactants that can strip away natural oils.
Tip #2 – Exfoliate: Our skin gets drier in the colder weather and needs help shedding dead skin cells. Consider a gentle overnight resurfacing peel with a multi-acid complex and leave-on AHA/BHA peel. This will improve skin texture and boosts skin clarity—without irritation or over-drying.
Tip #3 – Treat & nourish: What mother nature takes away, we must replenish! Facial oils and serums deliver a concentrated dose of ingredients right where your skin needs it the most. All skin types—including normal skin, dry skin, combination skin, and oily skin—can benefit from facial oils and serums.
Tip #4 – Hydrate: Whether you have dry skin, combination skin, or oily skin—you need hydration. Breakthrough Bio-Mimic Technology harnesses the unique life-giving properties of plants to exactly match the structure of skin, giving it precisely what it needs and nothing it doesn't. Not only does it provide up to 24-hours of hydration — it adjusts hydration levels throughout the day.
